🍽️ Eid Platter Recipe

🍚 1. Chicken Biryani (Main Dish)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg chicken
  • 4 cups basmati rice
  • 2 onions (sliced)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp biryani masala
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Fresh coriander & mint
  • 4 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Fry sliced onions until golden.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken, spices, yogurt, and tomatoes. Cook 15 minutes.
  4. Boil rice until 70% cooked.
  5. Layer rice over chicken, add mint and coriander.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat 20 minutes.

🍢 2. Chicken Tikka

Ingredients

  • 600 g chicken breast (cubed)
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp tikka masala
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients to make marinade.
  2. Marinate chicken 1–2 hours.
  3. Grill or bake at 200°C for 18–20 minutes.

🥟 3. Samosa

Ingredients

  • 10 samosa wrappers
  • 3 potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • ½ cup peas
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. Fry cumin seeds in oil.
  2. Add potatoes, peas, spices and mix well.
  3. Fill wrappers with mixture and fold into triangles.
  4. Fry until golden brown.

🥙 4. Seekh Kebab

Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef or lamb
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Fresh coriander
  • Salt

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Shape onto skewers.
  3. Grill or pan-cook 10–12 minutes until cooked.

🍞 5. Naan 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Water as needed

Method

  1. Mix ingredients and knead into dough.
  2. Rest 30 minutes.
  3. Roll into oval shapes and cook in hot pan until puffed.

🍬 6. Gulab Jamun (Dessert)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Milk (to make dough)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cardamom pods

Method

  1. Make soft dough with milk powder mixture.
  2. Roll small balls.
  3. Fry on low heat until brown.
  4. Boil sugar, water, and cardamom for syrup.
  5. Soak fried balls in syrup 1 hour.
